Rodolfo Cortéz
Rodolfo Cortéz, 17 years old, moved from Houston, Texas to Laurel, South Carolina in order to find work picking watermelons. Rodolfo is 17 years old, has not graduated from high school, and has never moved to work before. Rodolfo moved to Laurel on July 8th, 2020. Upon arrival in Laurel, Rodolfo moved in with some friends he knew from the town where he grew up. That same day, the foreman told Rodolfo that once the season picked up in several days, there would be plenty of work and that he would hire Rodolfo at that time. A MEP recruiter interviews Rodolfo on July 15th, 2020. As of the day of the MEP recruiter’s interview with Rodolfo he had not yet begun to work.
